I was stationed in Omiya for the first nine months of 1956. Around October 1956 the printing unit of Psychological Warfare was absorbed into the Adjutant General Corps which did printing for the services. Camp Omiya was closed and we moved to Motosumiyoshi where I spent an additional seven months. The pictures in the left column were taken in Omiya Park during Cherry Blossom time. This time of year is celebrated with many groups of people partying in the park. The gentleman in the second from the top photo appears to be doing the Tanko-Bushi.
The pictures in the center column are top - Hibiya Park in central Tokyo. Center - the Ginza taken from the roof of a local department store and bottom - Z Avenue taken from the same location.
Right column top - Imperial Hotel and bottom - Torii to Meiji Shrine.
